Build Powerful Grant Proposals with Confidence!
What is the Proposal Writing Intensive?
The Proposal Writing Intensive (PWI) is an immersive learning experience for nonprofit professionals who are ready to deepen their grant writing expertise and fuel social change. Over the course of five weeks, you'll engage in over 40 hours of grant writing instruction fortified by persuasive and technical writing exercises to develop a compelling grant proposal.
PWI is a cohort-based, project-driven program—meaning you’ll learn in community and walk away with a polished application package that’s well on its way to submission.
What You'll Experience Over 5 Weeks
- Search & Fit Sessions (virtual): One-on-one support from seasoned grant writers to help you find and assess the right funding opportunity.
- 8 Weekly Instructional Sessions (in-person): Deep-dive workshops led by Credentialed Grant Professionals (GPCs) focused on core proposal elements like logic models, budgets, narratives, and more.
- Culminating Celebration (in-person) guided by Nevada GrantLab – graduates reflect upon their PWI experience and receive a certificate of completion.
- Access to Nevada GrantLab’s Network of PWI alumni and other grant professionals in the sector. This also includes priority access to our Grant Services Program for ongoing proposal support.
Who Should Apply?
- Intermediate-level grant writers at nonprofits serving historically underserved communities
-
Professionals whose organizations support their participation, including the time commitment
-
Collaborative changemakers seeking to build peer relationships and maximize impact across organizations

Tuition
Please don’t let financial concerns prevent you from applying to the Proposal Writing Intensive.
We are deeply committed to making our capacity-building programs accessible to all. Thanks to the generosity of our funding partners, any nonprofit professional who is accepted into PWI can participate at no cost.
That said, if you or your organization are in a position to contribute toward the cost of participation, your support will help us extend this opportunity to even more local nonprofit leaders. Each PWI seat is valued at $1,620.
